Larry's Flint Knapping

As a young boy working in the tobacco fields, I found my first arrowhead. It was a magical moment for me. I started looking in fields in my spare time, building frames out of lumber, and placing them just right in the frame.
In 1999 I started to learn the art of Flint Knapping. After several years, I finely got the hang of it. Now I do Flake over Grinding. I cut slabs from Obsidian which is Volcanic rock, or Volcanic glass. Then I grind the slabs into pre forms.
The ground pre forms give you a better flake pattern. I like using Obsidian for it's wide range of colors.
For the handles I use Deer Antlers, Deer Leg bone, and Cholla Cactus wood. I make a wide range of Knives, and Arrow Heads. I also sell just the Blade if you want to make your own Knife.
